Rodrick Shiver, a Certified Public Accountant, is the Managing Partner of Shiver Certified Public Accountants, where he provides businesses of all sizes not only traditional bookkeeping and payroll services, but he also provides consulting services and effectively acts as an outside CFO for businesses. Rodrick’s experience as a Manager at the world’s largest accounting firm, Pricewaterhouse Coopers has afforded him the opportunity to advise major national businesses across a myriad of complex matters. His professional knowledge and business skill covers a wide spectrum, including areas such as Accounting and Finance, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing. He has advised many of America’s top Fortune 100 companies, while also providing key assistance to small businesses and business start-ups.

 

A strong promoter of entrepreneurship and civic responsibility, Rodrick lends his talent not just to his career but also to the community. He conducts a regular Financial Literacy course for the Athletic Program at the University of South Carolina; and he has served on the boards of many nonprofit organizations including the Columbia Empowerment Zone and Tri-City Visionaries, which respectively focus on helping small businesses grow and mentoring youth on various business concepts and finance, encouraging a new generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Rodrick accepted a full basketball scholarship to attend The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. Two years later, he was recruited to attend Auburn University – Montgomery in Alabama, also on a full basketball scholarship. While at Auburn, Rodrick continued to excel academically and was selected as a Fulbright Scholar by faculty, granting him an opportunity to study in Beijing, China.

 

Rodrick graduated from Auburn with honors in Accounting and Finance, and thereafter worked for IBM in New York City. Rodrick continued his education at the University of Connecticut, where he earned his MBA in Finance.
