Matthew Cauthen is a second-year student at the University of South Carolina Law School. He has particular interest in policy making, especially in the areas of tax and trade.

Matthew attended the University of South Carolina for undergraduate study, where he majored in History and Political Science. During his time as an undergraduate student, he participated in several political campaigns and interned for the Office of Congressman James E. Clyburn.

Currently at the law school, he serves as the Secretary-Treasurer of Carolina Equality Alliance, and Secretary of the American Constitution Society.
